Yes we all have options that don’t include Microsoft Explorer 8.
I personally use Flock, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and
all these work great. They are easy to install and so far work better
than Explorer does. I suggest you try them out and see for yourself.

Google Chrome fast and easy to use from Google.
Opera maybe the fastest browser with lots of widgets to use.
